We did some work on the shifting system, reinforcing the gearbox and bracing systems. This part is now complete, but we’ve run into problems in other areas. First of all, the touch bumpers have been far more complicated than we imagined. We have only now come up with a working model for them, and it does not yet have the actual touch sensors installed, just the moving bumper. We also had to revise the suspension, installing an extra shock on each wheel assembly. Since we only had four shocks to begin with, we have had to order an extra four online. They will be shipped to my house, but for the moment one end of the car is manually supported without suspension.
We have been taking a lot of photos today. We are probably going to work for another half-hour or so, before uploading the photos and packing up.
